Mirkarwada jetty it is the coastal station for marin professional, all the fishing boats and trawlers land here. It is the major trading sopt in ratnagiri for marine industry. Most of the fishes from here are exported to other city markets such as-  mumbai , pune , goa , bangulore , Mangalore etc.

The distance between main stand of Ratnagiri to Mirkarwada jetty is 3 km. There are many source to reach the mirkarwada. There are

1. Bus- regular bus services are available in ratnagiri. The bus charge is about ₹ 15 from main stand of ratnagiri to mirkarwada.
2. Auto riksha - there are many private autos operator in ratnagiri there are usually available from auto stand that are located across the town.

   Mirkarwada in ratnagiri is very densly populated  with nearly 3000 people. The main occupation of the people is fishing with nearly 90 % of the people Being engaged in fisheries and realated activities. mirkarwada aadarsh macchimaar sansta has nearly 200 dedp sea pursiners and trawlers. The people speak konkani language and follow religion islam . The mirkarwada has a jama masjid and four other mosques and a sepratse madrasa for girs and ladies. Mirkarwada is at Sea coast and is protected from winds and sea currents naturally by hills of ratna , famous bhagwati mandir is one of the hills , the famous white sea beach is also linked side of the mirkarwada.
   Recently a big fishing port is being built and is one face is nearly completed  the work is second face to commence very shortly . After the completion this fishing port will be the second larget after mumbai in maharashtra.

   Mirkarwada jetty where fishing boats were due to arrive with their catch. On reaching there we saw serval boats and were told that owing to the windly weather at sea the boats hadn't ventured. Out.there was still some sale of fish at the jetty. People bargaind for the baskets....it was a wholesale market. In this market there are many fish are available such as bangda, papalet, surmai , sarnga etc.
 
   So here , mirkarwada jetty and fish market are attraction in ratnagiri ...
